King Tuheitia’s office has confirmed he’s been discharged from hospital along with his son Korotangi and both their conditions have improved.
The King still needs to attend day clinics for observation which involve daily blood tests, and general examinations by doctors.
Korotangi Paki was discharged on Saturday and is reportedly in a satisfactory condition.
Rangi Whakaruru, the King’s private secretary says, “ The King’s condition is such that the medical team felt confident that he would not be disadvantaged or at risk if he were discharged and given that he is making Day Clinic visits every day now for the next 8 to 12 weeks, it was generally accepted that he would benefit from being in his home environment.”
Last week the King underwent a kidney transplant, donated by his youngest son Korotangi.
